Might of been searching for "overclocking" but it's nearly been 2 years since I joined :p

i think before i joined, i was searching t3h intraweb for info on the MSI - K7N2 Ultra mobo (My first NForce2 board!)

OCForums had a few threads on them. noone else did. that's what attracted me here.

I found overclockers.com when I was looking for tips on how to overclock my Duron 650 CPU around December 2000 .... and then joined the forums February 2001.

I was searching for Overclockers forums.

I'm surprised I found it.

( I was referred from one of my CISCo A+ buddies)

Midget porn. Either that or looking for help OC'in my old 1.4ghz Thunderbird. Or maybe it was Frank's chocolate chip cookie recipe.:santa: ... or girlfriend help ...or medical advice  ...or automotive recommendations ...or someone to shoot cheezy poofs at me.

Honestly, I don't remember what I was looking for, but I know what I found.

everything except for that damn cookie recipe

Looking for tweaking software when I stumbled upon an article about case airflow solutions. Noticed a link on the left for forums, and figured they'd be worth reading for some expanded info. Seems I was right, cuz I've already learned a boatload of things that have made a huge difference in the way I tweak my wares. :attn:

I was researching an AMD X2 4800+ build for myself. Actually trying to find out if Windows XP dual core drivers were necessary for the processor to function SMP in windows. hehe

That was in December of 2005. This place rocks BTW!!

LOL

I was sent here by Navig who I ran across at the techTV forums when everyone was complaining that G4TV had ruined The Screen Savers. It was about the time I was building my first computer and I was choosing a motherboard.

Wow it's been over 3 years since I joined and I have no clue what I was searching for back then. The forums search only goes back to 04.

If I had to guess I'm sure I was looking for performance tips as we were HEAVILY into CS and had monthly if not weekly LANs and any edge back then meant a better k:d ratio.

Would love to keep reminescing but it's time for my Ensure.

I found it, trying to OC a p3-866mhz. I got her up to 975mhz with the 150fsb, rock solid on a tyan trinity400. She it still going strong at those setting over a my sisters house.

I wasn't really looking for the forums. I was looking for an answer. It's the question that drives us. It's the question that brought you here. You know the question, just as I did..

Looking for info on oc'ing my duron 750 farther. Did not even know the forums existed for the first couple of months. Spent my time on the front page reading up and comparing my results to the ones posted on the front page then?

I was looking for a quality overclocking/computer forum. I found it, along with several others.
