grub boot theme kubuntu 6.1

ok so id like to install a grub theme that i have for my kubuntu install. i tried following the creators instructions but it seems my kubuntu installed grub is text only or something. it says to doa mv /boot/message /boot/message.old but my system doesnt have this file.

You might have a folder in /boot/grub/ called images or something. If not, you'll have to make one and edit your menu.list file to point to it. I just added this line to my menu.list:

splashimage (hd0,1)/boot/grub/splashimages/fiesta.xpm.gz

You can also install more themes that should be in the default repositories. Just search 'grub themes'.
