Worksation Linux?

I was wondering;
Is there any 'Workstation linux'?

Like I want to do Video Sound and Image editing (Mostley Video tho) and i'd need a really complexe program.

this is a weak area in linux, there is really no pro level equivellant to final cut studio, adobe premier, or avid. About the closest you will find to a professional quality video editing suite is called Cinelerra http://heroinewarrior.com/cinelerra.php3 and from what i understand (i haven't really used it, just played with it for 5 minutes) it is pretty far behind the above mentioned pro apps for windows and mac.

any linux distro will work fine for a workstation

it's mainly aimed at sound production, but it is based on debian so you can add anything you want from apt.

If Linux had an answer to iLife, I would be sitting pretty on cloud nine, in the pink with 70 virgins and a case of beer which magically replenishes itself.
