I decided to create an unofficial OCF Alternative OS IRC Channel so that anyone who wants to can join up and chat about alternative os's or get help from fellow OCF members. If you want to join, here is the info:

server: irc.zirc.org
port: 6667
channel: #oc-nix

I'd like to try and keep the chatter to Alternative OS's such as Linux distro's, BSD's, and OS X. Straying off topic for a little is OK, but is frowned upon.

Please, come and join us!

Since this is the Alt oS channel the best way to get there on your remote box;)
SSH >> Screen >> irssi

:D

or better yet, get there on your local box that is currently running *nix, with xchat or whatever your preference is...and use your remote box too. i mean, what *nix geek doesn't have more than 1 box running *nix.....right?

d00d..... Screen sounds awesome! I was getting a little annoyed at having to open up several SSH sessions just to get several simultaneous command lines...

/me installs and tries to remember to join the channel when he gets home
