Im currently using a widescreen 19'(1440x900max). I managed to get an old 15' LCD(1280x1024max). Using 7600GS and tried using NVIDIA's multiple display. I choosed horizontal pan feature but my desktop became weird especially on the 19 widescreen because the max resolution went to 2560x1024 for both display. On the 15' display is quite sharp but blurry on the 19' widescreen.

Since I'm using my 19' widescreen for gaming, startbar, desktop icons and movies, is there anyway I can use the 15' LCD for support role(ms word, music player). I dont want to use clone because its meaningless displaying the same thing. Can I keep keep my taskbar and the 19' only? Can I like play game with the 19' and at the same time viewing the desktop with the 15'? I'm not sure my explanations is clear enough but hopefully someone can help me with this.

I'd use dualview since the displays do not have the same resolution. And then you can run a game on the 19" and put your browser window in the 15" (or chat window/porn window/whatever you want ;))

I can run game with the main 19' but when running game I can access the 2nd LCD. Only for display. Only thing to access the 2nd display is ALT-TAB to desktop. Is this normal?

this is generally normal. any application that takes the entire screen (like games) will make you alt-tab out so that you can access the second monitor. It's best to get what you are looking for (like cheats or walkthroughs) on before you load your game. This will save a bit of hassle later.

one way to get around having to alt-tab out, is to run the game in windowed mode (if possible) and just make the window take up your 1st monitor, so you can run the mouse off the border of the game window.

The downside of doing that is that your video card has to work harder to display your game because it is drawing your background behind the game (whether you see it or not). This is not the most recommended approach, but it does get the job done.
