just got my new cpu \0/ and bought a zalmen heatsink, but i am just wondering what temps are ok for the cpu under load?

about 55 degrees is what most people seem to go for I think under load, I got a zalman fatality fan CF and I get about 50

Hello fellow forum member, I've got a Zalman 9700 on 3 C2D's a E6600, a E6420 and a E6400. I think they all keep the temps to about 50c while running Orthos for about 4 hrs. (the cpu stress thing, ambient about 21c) I think the idea is to keep the cpu temp under 65c when OC'ing and adding vcore? (need to check this with a more experienced OC'er) but I think the cpu can go as high as 85c infrequently. Hope this helps a little, OBTW what FPO/BATCH # is it?
