hey guys..

I recently swapped my SLOT A mobo to an ABit KA7-100

ME works fine...

I formatted and reinstalled XP..

but I'm having driver issues...

when I run 3dmark 1 game runs fine 2game , my screen goes blank right as it starts or a couple seconds into it..

I check the error log, it says this:
//
// Watchdog Event Log File
//

LogType: Watchdog
Created: 2001-12-10 20:46:05
TimeZone: 300 - Eastern Standard Time
WindowsVersion: XP
EventType: 0xEA - Thread Stuck in Device Driver

//
// The driver for the display device got stuck in an infinite loop. This
// usually indicates a problem with the device itself or with the device
// driver programming the hardware incorrectly. Please check with your
// display device vendor for any driver updates.

flashed latest BIOS,
I've tried different drivers, and tried turning all the stuff off in bios, like agp 4x, caching, fast writes buffers, everything..

still doesn't work!!!

Did you try the official ATI drivers for XP on the ATI site? I had XP crashing on me all the time until I tried the ATI drivers. It seems that the Radeon drivers on the WinXP CD do not have OpenGL support according to the ATI support page.

nope, on my old board XP worked fine..

now I get locks ups left and right...

it has something to do with the chipset...

I tried all of VIA's latest drivers, and all of ABit's latest drivers..

tried boostign signal strengths, tried turning all the AGP peformance options off...

it's driving me insane!!!!

upgrades are supposed to improve performance not decrease..

sometimes isn't infinite loops, sometimes it's drawing failures...
GRRRRR:mad: :mad:
