I bought a Glaciator II, and it doesn't fit my Soltek DRV2 MB, as there is a capacitory that is about 1/2 inch too close to the upper corner.

Would it be a bad, bad idea to just grind off enough of the HSF to make it fit? It wouldn't take a whole lot....

deja vu....I had the same problem with a glaciator on my board. chopped off a corner and it fits fine now:D You might lose a little bit of cooling because of the lessened surface area, but i dont think its that big of a deal.

Isnt that why GOD created Dremels?

I recently cut a little off my Alpha pal 15u and it worked out perfectly.
