The Swiss cooling solution provider - Arctic Cooling has launched a new high performance MX-2 thermal compound for the enthusiast. Turbo MX-2 is a high conductive and low resistance compound for components that require the best thermal dissipation. MX-2 is ideally suited for use in CPU, GPU cooling and other applications between power semiconductor components and heat sinks where high thermal conductivity is critical.

hmmm intresting.... ill stick with as5, the last thing that came out that clamied that it beat as5 would eat away aluminum heatsinks for breakfast.

not surprising as ac mx1 beats ac5 as well. hopefully this stuff can beat Shin-Etsu's best stuff for the top spot of thermal compounds that dont eat or weld heatsinks to processors.

would someone point me to something that says that the Coollaboratory stuff welds processors to heatsinks?

Which Shin-Etsu product are you referring to? Crazy PC has G751, X23-7762, and X23-7783D. 7783D is the most expensive...is it the best?

This MX-2 stuff sounds pretty cool, but where can it be purchased?

LOL, I find it funny how we could possibly worry so much about thermal compound and that extra 1/2-1 degree difference. A slight variation in application can have that kind of effect.
I use whatever is available and I have found no difference in AS5 or the cheapo crap that comes with aftermarket coolers and such.

I noticed a 2 degree difference between MX-1 and AS5. I will definitely check MX-2 out.

Any word on where to purchase the MX-2? I checked out arctic cooling's site, but couldn't find a dealer that had any. ??

someone post a link to a vendor that's selling it ANYWHERE.... I'll buy it and have it shipped all the way here. I wanna test this on my Q6600 g0 (when I get it).
