Hey all,
Just putting this rig through it's paces. Humming along nicely at 2.8ghz thus far but damn, the chipsets get freaking hot. The NB has a passive heatsink which I will try to attach a 60mm fan to and see how that goes. What would people recommend for the southbridge that won't cost me too much? I tried the Evercool VC-RE on my DFI board and it was loud to me at 12v, and very tickety when slowed down. I probaby won't go with this again unless there isn't anything else better.
I was thinking of going with a zalman passive and cutting off some of the fins as needed to avoid hitting my 7600GT. Or bend them out of the way. Anyone else done this with these coolers?
