I was wondering how fast you guys got your quads to. I've gone to 3.0Ghz in 1 quick OC cause I thought 2.4 was sluggish.

I have a GIGABYTE GA-G33M-DS2R with a Q6600 B3 revision, 2x1Gb mushkin DDRII 1066 (PC8500), WD caviar 750GB, 2900xt, and a silverstone 750watt psw. All of that in a little shuttle case. To cool down the beast I decided to go water and bought a Nautilus 500.

Well I never heard of that w/c is it the thing thats all enclosed?

And mATX boards aren't the best clockers in the world, also with the Q6600 not getting over 340 try this:

UPDATE: Found the problem with the wall on the g0!

IT WAS the motherboard... Somebody hinted to me the problem with the motherboard. . I think Gigabyte has a new BIOS they need to write, currently F12.

Had to set the following options.

CPU 1.45V
FSB 400
Multipler 8x

Let it boot up, then go into BIOS and change the multipler to 9x

CPU 1.45V
FSB 400
Multipler 9x

Results: It is ALIVE :). Let's see how high I can get this baby now.

The nautilus 500 is buy corsair. It is a small little watercooling kit. I'd say you are looking at around Ultra-120-x temps.

The B3s will generally do 3.2ghz.
The G0 will generally do 3.4-3.6ghz
X3210/X3220 G0 will do 3.6-4.0ghz.

would you like to tell us where you heard that or are you just giving legit estimates.

I cant really argue with em, sound good but just curious

I was looking at CPUZ and noticed that my multiplier dropped to 6x. I thought once you oced the speedstep thing turned off...?

Oooh, I wanna see links for X3210/X3220 G0 will do 3.6-4.0ghz, that'd be pretty sexy.

There's a guy who did a pretty good job at doing careful overclocking on XtremeSystems (XS), he's at 3.74ghz Q6600 G0 stable on air (Ultra-E 120), his name is XtremeTiramisu, probably seen his posts. he's been pretty open about his findings everywhere.

i got my quad at 3.6 to run 4 cycles of prime95 but my temps here are killer (80F ambient) so my ninja wasnt cutting it and i stopped the test, but it was plowing through those small ffts. voltage was 1.42 in bios, with vdroop was under 1.35 during load.

waiting on watercooling setup coming in a month to really test the waters of this chip (so to speak)

Wicked results with that GO there mate... that's what I've been wanting to see. Encourages me heaps for air-cooling possibilities.

Very sexy indeed. Mind I ask what ambient temps you have? My ambient temp is 35C-37C in the mid afternoons... (yes HOT in Los Angeles)
