Currently, I have a E6420 clocked to 3.2ghz on an Asus P5B Deluxe.

I'd like to upgrade to a chip that has good over clocking potential for around 200-250.

So what's hot now?

i would look at a e6750. unless you wanted to kick in another ~$50 and grab a q6600.

i am pretty sure you could squeeze another 200-400 more mhz out of your e6420 tho.

I would be able to use a Q6600 with my current board?

Yeah, my E6420 does not OC as well. 3.2 ghz @ 1.43 Vcore 5-5-5-15 running on air

I'm currently running a 6420 in my p5b. It does pretty good but craps out around 3550 max. So I've got me a e6850 coming next week. I'm going to see what the p5b can do with it.

actually ncixus.com has the x3210 for $225....even better.

dont think i've seen any G0 server parts out in the wild yet though.
