Rheostat vs. Potentiometer
What is the difference b/w these 2 devices?
I want to put 2 Panaflo 120mm H1A fans under 1 rheo. They each run at 5.52 Watts and .6 amps. I have found that I need a 12.5 Watt rheo. That costs almost $30 and I am having trouble locating one. The Shack only has a 3 watt one. They do carry a bunch of potentiometers, though, which are cheap. Could I use one of these instead? I just don't understand the diff b/w them.
