I'm seriously contemplating one myself. There is the issue of dust, but then you can clean stuff off pretty easily as well. Hmm...very interesting...

I think a can of compressed air will have you covered there. I like the idea, but I can't trust myself not to spill things or drop heavy things on the computer, so I'll stick with a full case for now.
