I just recieved my Thermalright Ultima 90, and was kinda surprised that there was no plasic coating or wrap on the cpu surface of the heatsink. Is this typical, or am I missing it? The base looks clean, there is no writing saying take me off, and I can not detect any protection there.

What have other people found?

They don't put anything on it because they ship it in a plastic bag..... inside a Styrofoam box.... inside a cardboard box....it's pretty well protected I'd say.
