hey,

i've been having some troubles with my pc. When i play games it runs fine then all of a suddden it just dies or freezes, like my monitor turns off and the pc stops, but has the power light still on,

then i turn the monitor back on and it says no signal or somefin.

but i think its could be the power supply but i'm not sure
here are some figures for u ppl to look at

cpu temp 42 normal
+12v is at 12.099 and some times falls to 11.916
+5v is at 4.919 and falls sometimes when i play games or somefin

my system is a PIII 800 with 384 Mb ram and winfast Geforce 2 Ti
with asus TUSL2-C mobo and my Vcore temp just rose to 1.712 from 1.68

does anyone know anything plz reply

ummmmm i havent over clocked
but it says my cpu is 804mhz when i click on my computer - properties

but my default cpu is 800mhz

whats a surge suppresor

Surge suppressor plugs into the wall outlet and you plug your pc and monitor into it to protect them from voltage spikes(surges).

1.Plug the monitor into its own outlet not the pc power supply.
2.Check that the cpu cooling fan is operating.
3.Start pulling out one at a time any add-in card and see if the problems goes away.
4.Try a different video card if you have one.

na i dont have em

umm my power suply box is 300w
i put in my old box and that was 250w but still did the same thing

Surge suppressor's are a good investment.
Try things above then post back if you still get the same problem.

are the drivers signed by MS? I used the lastest drivers from ATI and my computer was unusably unstable. I had to just uninstall drivers and use windows update for the new ones.
