Intel QX9650 doesn't like extreme cold..!!??

Take a look here on the forums. Deanzo has his QX9650 on dry ice (-70C) with no issues. This cold bug just looked like a motherboard issue.
 
Actually the cold bug is more prevelant on 45nm, one guy reported it hitting around -40°. He also happens to be the only one I've seen over 500FSB on 9650 ;)

But chances are, @ single-stage temps you'll be fine.
 
Not smart to trust Vapo display.

I know. It just gioves the evap head temp anyay. What gives a sub zero readout that you can hook up with a probe? Most I've seen don't display very low or at most to -20.
