I've just reinstalled Windows on an old pentium 200 I had lying around and I've been having problems with the sound card. It seems to be recognized properly by the OS as I can see it in the Device Driver list, but under the Multimedia control panel applet, everything is grayed out as if their were no sound card. Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

Try installing the drivers directly using the device manager. Old ISA soundcards can be a bit of a pain sometimes.
