windows xp home w/ full updates detects a "Multimedia Video Device" but wizard cannot find drivers on included disc.

driver install on cd says "no compatible hardware detected"

have tried all my pci slots

What should i try?
 
have you tried downloading the drivers from thier website? i think i had the same problem where the drivers wouldn't install from the cd and i had to download them from the site.
 
Yes I tried the cd (3.4d) as well as 3.3c and 3.4b, both downloaded.

hauppage is hard to get ahold of a tech while im at home
 
haha got it working. turns out the board my card has needed a modified inf file to work

How what did you do to modify you inf file as I have just notice the id that windows shows doesn't exist in my inf file either.

If I add the id shown in windows it should in theory detect the drivers as the correct ones, did you make any other modfications to your inf file?
