Okay if you had around 100 dollars to spend on 4gb of ram what would you get? I need to find good stuff for my q6600 setup and on the GA-P35-DS3L mobo. And im crap at picking out ram. Thanks for any suggestions!

The GSkill 2x2GB kit of 1000MHz works great.

Runs 55515 at 1080 for me at stock volt range (2.1 or 2.2 I forget, and im not home right now)

here's the G. Skill DDR2-1000 2x2gb kit with Cas. Lat. 5:

here's some G. Skill DDR2-800 2x2gb kit with Cas. Lat. 4:

i'm pretty sure that the DDR2-1000 is the same stuff as the DDR2-800 with looser timings and clocked up. personally, i'd just get the DDR2-1000 as it has been factory tested to run at that speed. if you get the DDR2-800, you can probably loosen the timings manually and clock it up, but its not guaranteed...might as well pay the extra 5 bucks for the stuff that's been tested to run at the faster speed.

I would get 4 x 1GB of Crucial Ballistix PC6400 (D9 based memory). You should be able to achieve better timings and higher clocks with them. Right now after mail in rebate you can grab 4GB of PC6400 Tracers for $80. NEWEGG LINK

If you don't like the Ballistix Tracers modules, they have LED's on them, newegg also has the regular Crucial Ballistix PC6400 kit for $100 after mail in rebate. NEWEGG LINK

If you think in the future that you might want to upgrade to 8GB or you don't like mail in rebates then get the G.Skill 2 x 2GB kit as mentioned in the previous posts. Otherwise I don't see much advantage to running the g.skills.

I just got 4x1GB's of Geil Evo Ones PC2 6400 .They look cool and run cool.See my Avatar.Right now i have them running DDR2 960 4-4-4-12 @2.2v .Newegg says 1.8v to 2.0v.
But my sticks say 1.9v to 2.3v on the hologram stickers.
