I'm thinking about getting an HD3870 and was curius about how high i could get it with a voltmod and Watercooling. I would be using my current loop and probably a MCW60

thats a huge overclock i wouldn't think it would be stable at that speed

I saw an article on how to mod those cards to hit 1Ghz, but it's an insane mod. Several capacitors and lots of careful soldering, but someone has done it. I'll try to find that link for you...

someone over at xtremesystemes got 1+ghz on air so it is possible but you just need to add a lot of volts.
