So I go to burn some audio files to a cd in iTunes. Well I put a blank disc in and tried several other blank cd's but it keeps on saying "Please Insert Blank Disc" when the disc is blank. Nero does the same thing, is my drive dead or something it's about 7 years old a Sony CRX215E1 52x52x52x drive.

I'd say it's dead. I just had one die on me too. I'd test it in another PC to make 100% sure.
