Wondering my 470W PC Power & Cooling will be able to run a 8800GTX at stock clocks.

Currently have..

e2140 @ 3.0ghz
4gig ddr2 800 ram
320gig hd
1 80mm case fan.
ga-p35-ds3l mobo.

Probably will upgrade to a e6600 processor.

Just wondering I would have enough power to run that bad boy.

the card wants 28 amps or so and that unit puts out 26A rated..so probably will run it ok, but by a slim margin wide open...

I would say that you would need at least a PC Power and Cooling 550w or a Corsair 550w psu to handle that especially if your gonna upgrade to the e6600. Stay with the good brand names and not the generic ones though, I learned the hard way recently lol. Hope it helps.

I would say it will run fine... without OCing (I have that same PSU). Get the PC Power 610W and you won't be needing a PSU for years. Or just get the 500W one which has 35A @ +12v which is more than enough.
