I'm trying (so far in vain) to locate my Thunderbird stored mail on a Vista machine, with the purpose of porting/syncing it with Portable Thunderbird on my flashdrive.

According to Thunderbird (the install on my laptop), my stored mail is in C:\[user]\AppData. Said folder does not exist on my HDD, or at least I can't find it. Any ideas where this folder may be on Vista?

I do have a Mail folder in Program Files, but that's from 2006 (wtf?).

The Thunderbird profile folder in Vista is located under the following branch...

Code:
C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\

AppData is the folder I can't find under User, searching on last date modified doesn't bring up the file itself.

(said computer's HDD is giving me the finger now so I can't do anything anyway)

ETA: Booting from a Knoppix LiveCD I can see that directory now. Weird.

You need to make sure the folder views is not set to hidden. :D Even searching for files. You need to set it up so that it can be seen.
