Accelero S1 on 9600GT. Do I need a fan?

So I'm getting another heatsink for my dad's video card since his is producing a high pitched whine. He never plays any games and the extent of his video card use is pretty much for photoshop, lightroom, video editing, and maybe for watching a blueray every now and then. So I don't ever think it will get into 3d mode, but the blueray might put a small strain on it.

Anyone run their 9600GT with an accelero S1 and no fan? Or maybe even a 8800GT or other similar video card?

Don't need a fan, temps (depending on ambient) should be around 60C load imo.

*Load should be much lower considering all you are giving it is some PS and other programs. 60C is 1600x1200 max settings temps
