DIED?? :-/ That looks more like plain MURDER! Sophisticated murder, but still.... :argue:


I am pretty certain the cpu survived that session but died under air cooling at default settings, somewhere in the XS thread Nightraven mentions how the death occured ...but yea, could have been a leading cause of early demise. My first QX9650 went similarly....it was a great champ but I abused the heck out of it and it eventually gave up on me.
 
Wow, I did not know the qx9650 were that good. Perhaps I can somehow convince my dad to fund a nelhem computer.
 
I got my QX9650 yesterday, so far not super happy with it. at 400x10 I need 1.44V before i can run OCCT and not crash. It is watercooled, temps at idle around 39, loaded around 55.

I tried 12x333 also with same results. My batch # L744B172
