Oh yes, I ditched the Asus P5Q3, it has issues with DDR3 OC'ing, going to order the Maximus II Formula P45 tonight :)
 
lol...no rush brother, just me trying to egg you on. The maximus p45 should be a killer if its anything like the x38 maximus xtreme I have, very simple board to oc was extrmely kind to me during the forum wars. :beer:
 
Quick benchie with one 4870...I know 3DMARK06 is for old ladies...Vantage coming up ;)

nice... somewhere around 33%+ increase, scaling nicely. looks like your cpu was abit lower, 4042MHz vice 4050MHz, in the first run though??
 
Not sure why CPU came out 4.042, FSB has been 450 all the time...last one for the night, 37% increase over 1 card

Awesome Brolloks .I have so wanted to see these benchies. I am waiting with baited breath to see what sort of results you get with the GIGABYTE GA-EP35-DS3P as it is almost the same as I have now. I am just about to go and get my HD4870 or an Hd4870x2 or 2 HD4870's. Most likely just get the 1 HD4870 as I think the others would be superfluous.
On a side note I wish I had the gear you have.

P35 board arrives on Tues and P45 on Wed from the egg. I'm running a bunch of gaming benchmarks (Crysis, Call of Juarez, Devil May Cry 4, Half Life 2, Unreal Tournament 3), something I normally don't do but since I suspect that the difference will be more with gaming than synthetic benchmarks.
 
Brolloks - Any chance you'll test a 4870X2 when they come out? (I'm sure you have already that about that).
 
Brolloks feel free to send anything you don't want any longer over here to Aus.
Just jealous of all the stuff you get.:beer:
