the rig in sig has developed an internet issue (documented here) and it appears I am going to have to reinstall windows. I am going to add a WD150 drive and wonder if the benefits are there for the Raid0 configuration. I was thinking of installing the OS on one of the Raptors and then games and apps on the 150g drive. Will I take a substantial performance hit losing the RAID0 boot drive?

What are your suggestions?

I would not bother with the raid for two reasons.

One it is a little more work to set up and the good old loose one drive loose all info.

second since windows is always running, have it run on one HD and games on the other would be like splitting the load anyway.

You can also install other aps on the non windows raptor to split of the load....kinda like a raid but not at all.
