So I couldn't resist picking up a 2nd visiontek 4850 with Best Buy having them on sale for 149 and having a 12% off coupon when total cost out the door was $140. Needless to say they run great together, but since putting the 2nd card in Ive had a strange problem develop. This is my first foray into dual video cards, and crossfire.

The problem is simply this, after installing the 2nd card I now have no audio output. Am I just missing something or what? Sound worked fine before I put the 2nd card in and installed.

Install procedure went like this:

Put only a card in 2nd slot, boot up install drivers.
Reinstall 1st card, boot up with 2 cards + crossfire bridges
Boot up, Sound gone

So now I'm a little confused and looking for some insight. TIA.

Sounds like something got corrupted when you installed the second card. Run driver cleaner and remove all drivers for your video card. Then reinstall the sound drivers, then install the video drivers.

Yea, thats what I ended up doing and all is seemingly well now.
