hey I never really got into the whole overclocking fan temp yadda yadda thing but i would like to know a little info . i got this gateway e series from my job ( no i didnt steal it) anyway it have a intel p4 2.6 in it heres the specs i get from cpuz . please check it out let me know what you can about it cuz alot of this is mumbo jumbo to me. can i do anything with it? is it worth using or junk? ive just never dealt with processors. for the stuff i do on here all i used to have to do it slap in some ram , decent hard drive , dvd rom and go now with all this new stuff i gotta try and step it up a notch but under a budget. i understand im new to the forum so go e.z. on me. any tips on what i can do and how to do it in dummy terms would be appreciated . ive tried reading through the stickys and other poss for a while but realized it would be best to first find out what im working with or if its worth working, before i try to fix somthing and make it explode from looking at it wrong like a goblin tinker toy. thank you in advance .

It will be fine as an internet machine or a jukebox or a fileserver or something like that. I'm afraid use as a gaming PC or a HD HTPC is not possible, the CPU is just too slow. Being a gateway I doubt that it's possible to overclock.

Does anyone know of any mods? It's been a while since I worked on Northwoods

well as of gaming i have been able to play any and everything i play with no problems. with many a fps no lag no skips , from css to fear down to pogo gaming wise this thing is actually pretty sweet. but could always make it sweeter. plus its somthing to learn this junk on. honestly it doesnt even need it but it is somthing new to learn for me .
