    8800GT Alpha Dogs underclocked???

    I built a new PC
I checked the PCI speeds and they were running at stock 8800GT speeds
But XFX claims that the cards are overclocked.

Which 8800GT is it? the 256MB or 512MB?

The Alpha Dog models were the same 8800GT cards but with a different cooler and added fan speed control. They come in stock clocks too.

How did XFX claim that they are overclocked?

Check your part number, the 8800GT 512MB Alpha Dog with part number: PV-T88P-YDF4 is their stock clocked edition.

Just overclock it to 675 it will do that no problem, I suggest going to at least 700 though.

Then why are you mad about getting a slower clocked card? oc or stock at those speeds will be the same as far as temps go.

I'd be ****ed if I paid for an OC card and it turned out to be stock.
