A good 550w would do that sig rig just fine, though that sig rig doesn't draw what a IB and two 590s would, or even close.

just got my wattage meter with results and you said a 550w psu would hold my system which is the one in the signature...

playing max payne 3 it pulled 626 watt :)
doing the Unigine Heaven benchmark it pulled 680 watt :)
doing the furmark bech it pull 660 watt

So iam close to border line

At 80% efficiency, 680w = 544w. So yes, right on the edge, but still under 550w! :) Remember that power from the wall is not quite the same as power delivered to the components.

80% EFFICIENCY FROM WHAT SORRY ?

80% efficiency of your PSU. That's a ballpark figure - it could be a bit more efficient than that. The efficiency rating of a PSU indicates what percentage of power drawn from the wall is actually delivered to the system. The wattage ratting on a PSU isn't wall power, it's deliverable power.

Without the model number it's hard to say which 750w silencer it is, but most seem to be right around 80%.

I stand by it, a good 550w could do it fine. Though I'd recommend a 650 for it, really.
That said, I did expect a lower draw out of that operation.

Will update thread soon, moved to another city and I'm extremely busy here :D

Awesome.

Here's one that I think ought to be on there:
http://www.overclockers.com/antec-earthwatts-platinum-650w

It's not a OMGOMGOMGOMG spectacularly good PSU, but it's a fantastic price for platinum and 650w. It can be found for $85!
No serious issues.
I've laid my hands on a second unit (I'll link the review when it's up) for the other site I work for. Someone has clearly gotten on the soldering tech's case about the fan leads as they are very specifically bent (and soldered) out of the way.

It's not exactly pretty, but it's not shorted.
As a sidenote, they didn't try to pull a fast one and change components after the initial review round, they're all the same.

That category definitely benefits from an additional unit.. Thanks bob :D
