I can tell you right now it won't fit. The case is 7" tall (remember, this is the exact same case I have now for my file server, juts a different front on it), the standoffs are 1". This leaves you with ~5.5" inches clearance. The Cooler Master N520 barely fits, it is really close. That heatsink is 6.25" tall.

I was bored waiting for them to need me in raid. Found out my camera has a video feature! I've had a few people ask how it looks under load, so I recorded it. Even better, you can hear the server itself :)

Make sure you have a DivX codec, if not, get it here:
http://thideras.com/downloads/klcodec485f.exe

Then download and watch the video here!
http://thideras.com/videos/Server_hdd_noise.avi

That is copying files out to the server via network, ripping movies via the DVD drive and rendering said ripped movies to x264 format.

whats ur connection speed??

That server has a huge line, I am not hosting it at my house. Visbits is actually hosting it ;)

Yeah... I guess because my name isn't blue you don't notice... :screwy:

The servers on an unthrottled 100/100 line.. and is normally not busy, I got the file at over 2MB/s with my TWC turbo.

I'm getting 400kb/s. Just so you know :) This is from the UK mind.

And its so loud! I'd die. Still I want your server bad, I'd just have to keep it hidden away somewhere. :)

@visbits I love your signature!

Thanks, I don't understand why everyone thinks the specs of there calculator are important. I've seen sigs here with more info about stuff then released by the manufacture!

oooOooo, getting all jumpy. Going to pick up a HUGE UPS and possibly a few servers:

http://sd.craigslist.org/sys/1290654852.html

Guy is giving them out for free.

That is the Compaq R3000 UPS. 2880 VA.

New batteries are ~$220. You may thing "holy CRAP, that is a ton to repair one of those". A new UPS costs me 140 new and gives me a runtime of ~5-8 minutes. This will cost just under double that and give me ~140 minutes of uptime.

EDIT: It also weighs a whopping 132 lbs...

Nah I'm a webhost, I have my own servers..vps..ect, Interested in some space?

HAHA THAT's WHAT SHE SAID!!! Man I told you it was crazy heavy! My 2200 was enough to sink a ship.

I did, but it is not for sale; he had other servers mounted in it. I got to see it though, it was very nice.

I can't move the UPS in by myself (might take the batteries out...), so I brought in the Dual P3 server that I got. Didn't take the AMD one.

With that being said, this case is nice. I can put whatever motherboard that I want in it (along with whatever power supply I want). So if I want to upgrade the system, I can.
