Just put one together for a friend.

Surprisingly easy to overclock, considering I've never played with an i7 before.

Parts:
Asus P6T
intel i7 920 (D0, Batch# 3849A846)
3x 2GB OCZ PC1600 Platinum (7-7-7-24)
Ultra-120 Extreme 1366-RT
Asus 4670
Antec Sonata 3
500W Earthwatts included with case
150GB Velociraptor
LG DVD

It seems more then happy at:
200 x20 = 4ghz (turbo disabled)
Memory: 800mhz (1600) 7-7-7-24
CPU voltage: 1.25v
Uncore (QPI/Dram core) voltage: 1.25v
Memory (DRAM bus) voltage: 1.64v
Everything else on Auto.

Idles in high 40s
24hr full load low 70s
24hr 8x prime low 80s

(Ambient ~25C)

Anybody foresee any issues with voltages or temps? I'm sure it would easily go faster but it will be used in a recording studio and needs to be 100% stable so I don't want to push it any farther. I wasn't even planning to leave it at 200 x20 but since it got there so easily with so little voltage we figure we might as well.

nice setup, same mobo i have, i'm running 212 bclk, 1.36v with turbo enabled, no problem. uncore is auto.

What does "Auto" uncore voltage default to?

I just set uncore to 1.25v to narrow the gap between it and the memory voltage (and because the cpu is also set to 1.25v it seemed like a nice idea).

i have no idea what it defaults at, i want a program that i can read all kinds of voltages.

I did some Googling, and apparrently the P6T family of boards default to 1.20v for uncore.

nice job man good cable management

and you should get your friend to buy a 2nd fan and set it up as push n pull so get higher clocks ;)
