I'm able to get the VM started, but when I try to access the config page through my browser it says that the connection has timed out.

I'm using a NAT connection to the VM, I tried bridged, but it said that "the network bridge on device VMnet0 is not running". The IP address that it is assigned is 192.168.102.128 (through NAT)

VMware player 2.5.3 build 185404
Windows 7 x64

Have you tried manually Bridging your adapters VMnet0/1 and your eth0 (or whatever your LAN connection is)
Then VmWare to Bridged mode it will either use VMnet0 or VMnet1

I thought about that but I didn't have any additional network interfaces after I installed vmware. Should I try reinstalling it?

Might be a good idea as in your Network Connections there should be at least 3 of them ( your LAN and VMnet0 & VMnet1 )
