ground on computer-- producing noise
so it's been a while since when this problem started, so i can't remember exactly when it started, but i believe it was caused by a new power supply.
In any event the ground on my computer is noisy (assumption) and I can't stand it. When I un-plug the 3.5mm jack from my computer I cannot hear any noise. When the jack is in either the front or the back port I get noise, as well as when it is touching the case.
Can you think of any solutions?

Noise while touching the case is normal. Noise while plugged in isn't.

what speakers are you using.
I had a similar problem with ground looping and the sub in my 5.1 setup... a simple wire between the phono ground on the amp and the amp plate on the back of the sub got rid of the white noise completly.
My suggestion, try placing a wire between the case and the amp of the speakers grounding both cases together.#12 in the 4ghz core 2 duo club baby! - 52 inches of CRYSIS! - Black Belt Ubercloxx0r -- Heatware
