I'm about to pick up a EVGA E760 Classified, some G.Skill Trident 2000MHz 9-9-9 (F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD), and four 640GB WD Caviar Black.
All I need to do is decide where to get the 920 from . . . I figure I have the following choices.
1. Order one from NewEgg and hope for the best.
2. Order one from Tank Guys and get a guaranteed DO stepping. However, it’s $300 and there’s no mention of the batch number. I emailed them yesterday asking if they could specify that.
3. Hunt around ebay for a good batch number. So far I see 3903A466, 3849A860, and 3910A307. (I haven’t bothered to e-mail more sellers and ask them.) There are other DO steppings but no mention of batch number. All of these are in the $270 range (shipped).
From the batch numbers mentioned above, I think I’m leaning toward 3849A860. I see good comments at these threads . . .

For the 3910A307, I have also read good things here . . .

Anyone have any suggestions?
