anywhere in the loop where the water will pass over it as it goes through the loop... i'd put it before the first block or in the res near the exhaust tubing... but so long as it is there and gets water running over/through it you should be good :p
 
i bought 2 true silver bp fittings. but i also run pt nuke as well since i have 4 bottles (thought would use more lol)
 
What about a 1.99 version of algecide from Walart? 1/2 a teaspoon is good for 55 gallons. I use a few drops in a gallon. I have used it for years and have never had anything that ever resembled any growth whatsoever. Using silver and special water cooling biocides is hogwash. Keeping the tubing out of direct light helps too.
