Don't want itunes, want iPod Touch

Hey guys,

I have been looking at the iPod Touch more and more these days. I am almost sold on getting it, except I hate iTunes, everything about it, iTunes has been what has kept me from getting an iPod for all these years, I've tried many different mp3 players, but they change so much from generation to generation, the iPod Touch will be a great compliment to my blackberry's for entertainment.

I need a way to Purchase the iPod Touch, then get it to work with a Windows 7 Laptop, never installing iTunes. is this possible? should I just look for another media player?
