It should be OD outer diameter for barb fittings (you need to use clamps and same ID inner diameter tubing).What is barb size?

in the case of the suggested pump its G3/8 so if that was your choice then your best to stick with that size throughout.

You should be able get XSPC Laing DDC acrylic top with 1/4" tread and can fit any diameter fittings that use 1/4" with it.The Swiftech MCP355 Is available in 1/2" and 3/8"?
