ddr3-2000 worth it?

Although I have 2000MHz RAM I don't think it's worth it over 1600MHz, after saying that I got mine when prices were reasonable. For one thing you'll have to run quite a high QPI/VTT voltage which will increase the CPU temp. In video editing I only see a small percentage increase in performance of around 3%. It may have a better performance increase in other applications though.

do you think i will get more fps in games? i might just buy 1800 and try to overclock that to 2000.... i really dont understand overclocking ram though.

i am getting a really good computer and i dont really understand ram. i dont want to spend 200 more dollars on something that isnt worth it....

this ram isnt getting very good reviews, you would probably be better off just getting some good 1600 like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145242

also if your building this system yourself i would recommend a good SSD instead of a standard HDD it would make a larger improvement than ddr3 2000 over 1600 like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227469

its the single best upgrade ive made in years
