i meant to do both those things! i want my psu to grab cool outside air.
i donno why EVGA put their sticker on upside down, the corsair RM850 in my other rig the sticker sure looks the right way up! View attachment 165771
there is something else that isnt done right!
i donno how much of a difference it makes though
and its not done processing yet, but i'll still try to embed this now, hopefully it will actually work.
well, that didnt work, how's a guy supposed to embed a video from youtube over here? the youtube embed code didnt work...
CPU block is plumbed in backwards.
And only way overbought on the PSU because I got a wicked deal on it from OKWolf.
And yeah, loop has so much rad because eventually it will have a GPU to cool. Hoping to get a 290x for a good sometime in the future.
And while the 4th HDD is just sitting there on top of things, it is stuck to the top with a couple strips of ⅛” double sided sticky foam, which seems to isolate the vibration quite well for now.
Hopefully I can get my htpc built up soon, and move all those mechanical drives into there.
My newest build...it's still a bit of a work in progress. I'm in the process of putting together pieces of acrylic for water channels that will go in the top of the case, and I've used the "step up" program on the 970 in the pictures to move up to a 980ti, and have another on order for SLI. When the acrylic is placed in the top of the case, the soft tubing you see in the pictures will be replaced by acrylic tubing that will go straight up / down into / from the acrylic.
Doing the initial leak testing with distilled water
The reservoirs and fill ports. I have flat black bitspower 45s on the way to replace the black chrome fittings that I had laying around, in the interim.
This was the toughest bend in this loop. The back side of the reservoir mount.
The bends for the bottom of the reservoirs to tie into the D5 mod top.
Another angle from the picture above. The hard line to the left comes from the bulkhead adapter from the radiator in the bottom case, to the top of the reservoirs.
The EK Supremacy X99 EVO cpu block.
I really like the looks of this block, but just wasn't impressed enough with the GPU to keep it. The 2x 980tis I have on the way should fare much better.
The reservoirs and pumps from the back side..and the ugly soft tube that goes down to the bulkhead adapter that feeds through to the rad.
The Bitspower dual D5 mod top. Love these tops.
A shot of the front of the case....the front cover wouldn't fit on with both of the 230mm fans in the top, so I had to move one of them to the lower case....wasn't happy about that, but, I'll figure something else out down the road. I may just make a new front cover out of acrylic for the whole thing. Not sure yet.
The best part of the loop. It's performance. Love it. This is ambient room temp.
And loop temps with the sensor before the radiator. This after a 4 hour run on OCCT with the 5820k at 4.5ghz @ 1.315v. The MO RA3 420 is a beast, with those 230mm fans.
More pics in a few weeks when I get the 980tis in, tested, blocked and everything finalized with the acrylic water channels.
new to the site but not to computers finally got around to updating some pictures and figured it was time to show off the beast, running 4930k at a daily 4.4ghz
You guys and your loop bends are making me jealous! lol I dont have the patience for it. I might just hire ya. lol But anyway, sick system Cert and Mclovin!
