im tryin to install xp on my server/laptop the cd is a xp home cd and i have tried using nlite to put the drivers in but when i boot the cd it bluescreens, is there anything else i need to do like service packs or anything? and the drivers are xp drivers the laptop is a asus a52jr

Is it an Intel laptop?

Just make sure you changed the SATA mode to IDE. It should boot all the way through. If not, then probably bad RAM.

What version of XP? SP1, SP2?

From what I recall there was no PCIe support in plain vanilla XP. This would give me a blue screen sometimes on some machines.

If you've slipstreamed in drivers isn't your CD SP3 as well? If not I would do that
