Retrieving key from windows install

I lost my CD key for my XP pro 32.

I need to reinstall but I will need my key. Can I retrieve it from windows somehow?

a quick google search yeilds this in the FIRST link

simply download and run and you will be able to grab the key off the xp install.

Theres also others, like piriform's speccy etc etc....

There are software recovery tools like magical jellybean, or you can just call microsoft and they'll hook you up:
1-800-Microsoft

In the past when I've called, its been straightforward and simple.

They wanted ten dollars so I used the magicjellybean thing and it worked I recognized my key
