Just recently looking at watercooling my rig and after looking from thread to thread the general consensus of coolant would be just some distilled water with a couple of drops of PT_Nuke. I know I'm a noob but when i went looking to purchase some I came across 2 different kinds and not sure what to use or even if i'm looking at the right stuff. Ones a Copper(II) sulfate pentahydrate and the other is Benzalkonium chloride.

Only thing in their description that differs is that is says that the Benzalkonium chloride would be good to use when a "situations where corrosion is a concern". I mean is a anti corrosive additive needed if the whole system is made up of chrome, copper and brass parts?

FYI Benzalkonium chloride is also the stuff used in many of those personal antimicrobial wipes you use for your body / baby butts ;)

I never understood why Petra's sells two when most people get the PHN nuke... so I just use silver coils. Works great so far.

PT Nuke was first. He came out with a better one.

People with dyes and other additives use PT, because it's less reactive than PHN. PHN is for distilled users. PT will cause copper buildup used in silly amounts, I guess PHN won't.
