should have no probs... vpn serving is pretty light as far as cpu usage is concerned.

i run win server 2003 on my server (see sig), with a web server (IIS w/ php), vpn, file server, Counterstrike 1.6, and torrenting, and it rarely sees cpu usage over 25%.
 
not going to get native vpn support with xp AFAIK.

server 2k3 is a great os... been running on my server for years now with absolutely no problems.
 
yes i know... but if your going to go with 2008... no point not to go with 2008 r2.

I personally like good ole server 2003 enterprise NON R2.... 2003 R2 seemed quirky imo.

Unless your apps aren't x64 compatible, of course. In a corporate environment, they exist enough to cause headaches when doing infrastructure upgrades like server OS :mad:
