I have a new HP F4480 All in One scanner.
The scanner won't work as the diagnostic tool claims no drivers are there / installed. I used the original disk to do the install/un-install 3 times.
Still not working. I'm running Vista which the disk supports.
The driver /file missing is AiO_scan.msi
The HP site is no help.
Any ideas guys??

Was the USB cable unplugged (as it should be) during the software install?, or since then?
That's always been my issue with printers--forgetting to unplug everything when redoing the software, and plugging them in only when the install asks you to.

No, I did unplug the USB cable when the installation program asked. I did the uninstall/re-install 3 times and got this issue everytime.
I've always had great luck with HP printers so this is really odd.
Still looking for a answer.
I can use Windows Photo Gallery to scan-it works, I tried it.
