graphic equalizer?

Does anyone know of an app that will serve as a graphic equalizer for sound in all applications?

most of the time (i assume) don't the sound card/controller drives come with a built in utility that will let you do that?

A good number of them don't. I'm interested in this too. I've always lived in an Audiophile world, so i hate only having that tiny EQ in WMP that only applies to music and videos played inside it...

well as a side note, for macs, if you ever need it there the application hear, i've been out of the windows world since vista, and just got back in
