Hello all, this is a somewhat urgent request as it involves my wedding videos. The person who recorded my wedding did so through a Mac and has copied these movies onto my external HDD (Seagate USB 3.0 1 TB).

The movies are not playing on my PC now, just the audio is all.

I know it has something to do with a certain Apple codec, but is there a way, whether it is free or costs a little money, to be able to either convert or watch these movies on my PC (Windows 7)?

Thanks!

The person who recorded your wedding needs to learn to use a more common codec, Win7 has quite a few.

Use VLC or CCCP/MPC.

So the file format is a .mov video with an Apple codec of icod.

I've tried everything under the sun and it seems near impossible.

Any other suggestions?
