WMP takes ages to load.

Everything else works fine just WMP takes age to load when i first open it. It only suddenly started happening and I havent done any windows updates that will have affected it.

It's not a huge problem but you naturally want everything to work perfectly when you spend a lot of money on a pc.

I have the latest version.

Is it slow if you are trying to use WMP to open a file by doubleclicking? Is it slow if you are just opening WMP by itself?

Sorry for long delay. It is slow when i first open WMP. I cant click on anything for about 20 seconds and then it works fine.

Uninstall WMP and reinstall? Assuming it doesn't affect anything else negatively..

Uninstall any codec packs and see if you are still having the same issue.

WMP chokes on larger libraries - at least it does on mine across many builds now. Even with a 4GHz i7 and X25M's in RAID-0, it's still a sloth...

WMP takes ages to load.
